Microvar free sprung balance wheel
The new Vintage 1945 Square Perpetual calendar is the first timepiece to be equipped with the all-new Microvar free sprung balance.
This innovation derived from Girard-Perregaux’s research in the field of chronometry is an exclusive development by the Manufacture. Its specificity relies in the combination of a a six-screw system and of two regulating weights positioned on the rim of the balance, which are used to respectively set the balance of the rim and the rate of the watch.
